Diesel car particulate emissions have lowered dramatically in recent years. Nonetheless, the constantly increasing number of diesel vehicles on the road means that further reductions in emissions are necessary. The new diesel particulate filter from Mercedes-Benz is a breath of fresh air.
It removes over 95 per cent of soot particles from the exhaust. In doing so, a continuous regeneration process prevents the filter from becoming clogged, which dispenses with the need for fuel additives.
